Day 5 is the fifth day since my departure from Amsterdam. For the BirdingBreaks group, it is the 2nd day, so the first day for birding. We are heading north to a hotel for the first few days. The hotel is situated much higher (830 m) than Cuiaba (150 m). In the afternoon, we go to a very beautiful gorge that ends in a high rock face with a waterfall. But as birders, we are going for the parrots flying in front of the rock face. With more time and better fitness, it is also a beautiful hiking area.
